As a rule of thumb, choose a winch rated to 1.5× your vehicle’s gross weight. For most full‑size 4x4s this is 9,500–13,500 lbs; for ATVs, 2,500–4,500 lbs is typical.
Synthetic rope is lighter, safer and easier to handle than steel cable. It stores less kinetic energy and floats in water. Inspect regularly and keep it clean to maximise life.
Our winches use sealed motors and solenoid packs (IP67) designed to resist rain, splashes and road spray. Avoid full submersion where possible and service after deep water use.
